Remote MCP server

FFmpeg for Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor

Paste one URL into your agent and it can cut, convert, and package video on its own. FFmpeg runs in the cloud, so there's nothing to install and no server to keep up.

Sign in once when your client asks. No API key to paste.

Tools

Everything FFmpeg does, as tools

Named tools handle the common jobs with typed inputs, so the agent gets them right the first time. run_ffmpeg covers the rest.

transcode

Re-encode to web-ready H.264 MP4, resize, or shrink.

trim

Cut a clip between two timestamps.

convert

Change format: MOV, MP4, WebM, MKV, MP3, WAV, and more.

thumbnail

Save a frame as a JPG or PNG.

gif

Turn a stretch of video into an animated GIF.

concat

Join clips end to end, in order.

watermark

Lay a logo over the video.

hls

Package a video for adaptive streaming.

run_ffmpeg

Run any FFmpeg command for everything else.

upload_file

Send a local file up, for agents that have one.

get_job

Check a long job and get its download links.

list_jobs

See recent jobs, newest first.

Try asking

Ask for the file you want

Your agent picks the tools, runs them, and hands back download links.

Questions

A few things people ask

No. Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor sign you in with your MediaOrca account, and you choose which workspace the agent can use. Clients that can’t sign in can send an API key as an Authorization: Bearer header instead.
